LSM has been manufacturing camshafts for the racing industry since the mid-1990’s. We pioneered oversized journal cams that increase stiffness and accommodate more lift than standard cams, resulting in superior engine performance.

Unless our customers require castings, LSM camshafts are all made from billet material. Billet cams are ideal for high-performance racing and high-end automotive OEM applications due to their strength, precision, and customizability. SADI (Selective Austempered Ductile Iron) camshafts cannot withstand the same high stress levels that LSM billet cores can. LSM typically works with billet steel bar stock such as 5150, 8620 and 4140, but can produce camshafts from a variety of materials to match your particular application.
